Frequently asked questions
The questions customers ask us most often, with a short answer. Is your question not here? Tap the help button in the app, or e-mail hallo@cellarnova.com.
What counts towards the price of my licence?
You pay according to the number of types of bottles you have in stock today. Six bottles of the same wine count together as one type. When you take out the last bottle of a wine, that wine no longer counts, even though it stays saved under Where? → Out of stock. The amounts are on the page Plans and prices.
Does my licence renew automatically?
No. A licence runs for one year and is paid in advance. There is no tacit renewal and no direct debit: every renewal is a new, deliberate order from you.
What happens when my trial period or licence ends?
Your account switches to read-only: your cellar stays visible for another 30 days, but you can no longer add, change, take out or add back bottles, share them, put them in a PDF or have them looked up. After that your account becomes inactive: your cellar is no longer visible in the app, but your data is kept and comes back at once when you renew. We never delete an account automatically.
Can anyone else see what I paid for a bottle?
No. When you share a bottle with a friend, your purchase price does not go with it. Within your family too, what you paid and the total value of your cellar stay yours alone.
Where does the market price of my bottle come from?
Next to the market price is a coloured dot: green means the price comes from the international price database, blue that it was looked up on the web. If you typed the price in yourself, there is no dot. If we find two amounts, we always take the lowest. Everything about the price is on the page How prices work.
My wine list is empty. How do I get wines on it? (Resto)
Your wine list shows exactly the bottles that are in the location My restaurant. If there is nothing there, the list is empty. This is how to fill it:
- Set the switch at the top to Business.
- Open a bottle, tap Where? and choose My restaurant. That bottle is on the list straight away. Every new bottle you add while the switch is on Business goes there by itself.
- Prices: open a bottle with Edit. In the block Sales in your business you see the selling price by coefficient or by fixed amount, and you can enter a coefficient of your own for that wine. To adjust all your prices one below the other, use the menu → Adjust selling prices.
- Back office → Wine list settings plus QR: tick The wine list is visible to anyone with the link. That is also where you find the address, the QR code and the button to print a table card.
A bottle without a selling price simply appears on the list, just without an amount. A bottle whose stock is at zero disappears from the list by itself and comes back as soon as you add one again. To take a bottle off the list: open the bottle with Edit and, in the block Sales in your business, untick On the wine list for guests.
