Your counter only counts what you ask the app to look up.
Not what you receive from friends, not what you store, and not what is already in the Cellarnova database.
Both plans give you every function of Cellarnova and 60 new scans a month: new, unique bottles that aren't yet in the Cellarnova database and therefore have to be looked up. Viewing, adjusting quantities, editing and making PDFs is always unlimited, and there's no limit to the number of bottles in your cellar. The only difference is the number of logins.

Family: every family member gets a login of their own and sees the same cellar: which bottles are there, where they lie and what they're worth today. What you paid for them and the total value of your cellar stay yours alone.
* A bottle already in the Cellarnova database doesn't count. Once someone — you, a friend or any other member — has had a wine looked up, every later scan of that wine is free and unlimited: the app checks that for itself and doesn't put it on your counter.
The large figures include 21% Belgian VAT (private customers); the small figures exclude VAT (businesses, with an invoice). There's no limit to the number of bottles in your cellar.
Scan once, share for free
A bottle only counts if the app really has to look something up for it. If the wine is already in the shared memory of Cellarnova, because you, a friend or any other member has had it looked up, your scan doesn't count and it's free; the app checks that for itself, for every member, friend or not. So add your friends first and share: in a wine club one member scans the bottle and all the others put it in their cellar for free. Ten friends with 60 new scans each per month discover up to 600 wines together this way, and everyone gets to keep the lot.
No small print, just clear terms.

What is always included
- 30 days free to try, all functions, 30 bottles to discover. PDF: ten single-bottle fact sheets; a PDF of a selection or of your whole cellar comes with a licence.
- Cellar set-up, up to 500 different wines, free for now as a launch offer: send us your photos via a shared folder in Google Drive or via TeamViewer, we'll set it all up, and none of it counts against your counter.
- Market price by vintage, score, taste profile, drinking window, estate.
- Adding a bottle without a photo: type what you know and pick from up to thirty matching wines, with lists for every country in the world, 2,717 regions and 857 grape varieties.
- Friends and sharing: bottles already in the shared memory can be added free of charge and without limit.
- Smartphone, tablet and computer: iOS, Android, Mac and PC.
- Personal help from a real person, not a robot, via WhatsApp and in your own language.
Good to know
- The price is per month; a licence runs for a year (12 months), you pay in advance and it starts as soon as the payment has been received, straight after your trial period.
- No automatic renewal: you renew yourself, whenever you like.
- A round on the house: when a friend you invited takes out a paid licence, you get an extra month of Cellarnova. Not money, but time (point 4b of the terms of use).
- Need a little more for a while, after a large purchase for instance? We can arrange a temporary increase together.
- If you stop, your cellar stays visible for another 30 days (read-only). After that it becomes inactive, but your data is kept and is back straight away if you renew.
- We never delete anything automatically. Only you can ask for your account to be deleted, and we do that by hand. So you can always come back.
- A special situation, or a question that isn't answered here? Everything is open to discussion.
Getting started
Open cellarnova.com, create your account and photograph your first bottle. Would you like us to load in your existing cellar? Ask us for a shared folder in Google Drive (via WhatsApp or hallo@cellarnova.com) and put your photos in it, or send them via TeamViewer. After the trial period you choose your plan.
